The Wisdio team was recognised by organisers of the 2nd Young Innovators Forum for its clear vision of organising information in the world which is overloaded with it. As the competition winner, the team shall take part in a debate participated by the President of Poland and has been invited to present its achievements at the 3rd Congress of Innovative Economy, an event organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

The 2nd Young Innovators Forum (Polish name: II Forum Młodych Innowacyjnych) was held by the Polish Chamber of Commerce at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsawon 22 May 2012. Its objectives included encouraging young entrepreneurs to take part in the discussion about the prospects, options and barriers faced by those who choose to start their own business. The convention also featured a best start-up competition. Its awarding committee, composed of representatives of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, Harvard Business Review and Innovatika, eventually nominated two equal winners, Wisdio and Manubia projects.

Wisdio, which is a Carrywater Group company, develops technologies aimed at supporting their users in ordering and understanding the information published online. Last year the company launched an innovative online knowledge exchange website called Wisdio.com and is currently developing new products, including ReputationQ.com, which focuses on automated measuring of reputation of experts in specific domains by analysing the information available on the internet, and Textplainer.com, which is capable of performing semantic analyses of text. The company is also about to launch MindFind.me, a product designed to help business owners and recruiters in finding the right employees and in developing their professional networks.

The Wisdio team includes five experienced engineers and designers:Rafał Michalski, Wiktor Nowak, Aleksander Pohl, Rafał Zaremba and Tomasz Gryszkiewicz, who are great at combining their technological expertise and business practice. Marta Nytko and Scott Dzierzanowski fromChicagoare responsible for Wisdio’s marketing operations. The entire business is carefully supervised by the two entrepreneurs:Sebastian Zontekand Wojciech Woziwodzki. Wisdio projects are developed in two language versions, which follows the company’s assumptions concerning the globalisation of demand and the strong belief of its founders in the international interest in true innovations and technological achievements.

Sebastian Zontek, Wisdio’s CEO says: Organisations are daily on a search for the right people: employees, partners and investors. The existing solutions prove to be hardly effective, as they only flood us with chaotic information that does not match our actual needs. We discovered a demand for tools that would allow us to take care of our own online reputation on the one hand and enable looking for reliable individuals widely recognised in their area on the other.

Wojciech Woziwodzki, Partner to Carrywater Ventures and Carrywater Group S.A., Wisdio’s angel investor adds: Wisdio built a tool that can analyse texts in the Polish and in the English language, which makes that product ready to enter the American market. Few Polish start-ups prepare their products for distribution on foreign markets at such an early stage. It must be remembered however that only an ambitious approach to the US market, one that is free from any sense of inferiority, can give the company an opportunity to have a global start from that most mature of all new technology markets.
