Support for implementation of system solutions for the WLR service
CLIENT
Large fixed-line telecommunications operator
CHALLENGE
The operator was required to implement regulatory decisions issued by the Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) regarding the wholesale line rental (WLR).
RESULT
We provided operational project management, coordinated 15 vendors, managed changes in switching systems, and supported the implementation of an intelligent network platform.

Challenge

The large telecommunications operator was required to implement regulatory decisions issued by the Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) concerning Wholesale Line Rental (WLR). The project scope included modifications to switching and IT systems, as well as the deployment of a new intelligent network platform. The organization required operational project management and coordination of software delivery across fifteen vendors, as well as system change execution.

Solution

We provided operational management of the project implementing UKE’s WLR requirements. We coordinated software delivery from 15 vendors and managed changes in switching systems, IT systems, and the deployment of a new intelligent network platform. The project was managed comprehensively across scope, quality, cost, time, and resources.

  • Operational management: leadership of the WLR implementation project on behalf of the operator
  • Vendor coordination: oversight of software delivery across multiple partners
  • System changes: implementation in switching and IT systems
  • New platform: deployment of an intelligent network platform for WLR

As part of the project, we ensured operational management of the implementation of UKE’s regulatory decisions regarding Wholesale Line Rental (WLR). We coordinated software delivery from fifteen vendors and managed changes in switching systems, IT systems, and the deployment of a new intelligent network platform. We managed the project comprehensively across scope, quality, cost, schedule, and human resources.

Results

The organization delivered the project within the regulator’s required timeframe, implementing modifications to switching systems, IT systems, and a new intelligent network platform.

01

The client successfully implemented UKE’s WLR requirements with coordinated vendor delivery and system changes.

02

Timely implementation of UKE requirements ensured regulatory compliance in the WLR area.

Effective coordination of 15 vendors and management of changes across switching systems, IT systems, and the new platform enabled successful delivery of this complex multi-vendor project.
