Process analysis and requirements for GIS
Challenge
The distribution company within the energy group was preparing for the implementation of a Geographic Information System (GIS) and required the design of target business processes, as well as the development of detailed functional requirements for the tender specification. The key challenge was aligning system requirements with the organization’s actual operational processes.
Solution
We conducted a comprehensive mapping and analysis of as-is processes using the BPM Framework methodology. We designed target (to-be) processes and developed detailed functional requirements for the GIS system, directly derived from business processes and incorporated into the tender documentation.

Using the BPM Framework, we carried out a detailed mapping of the organization’s operational processes, identifying key areas requiring system support. The developed functional requirements ensured a precise definition of expectations toward GIS system vendors.
